ScottishPower is hiring a Project Manager to deliver fleet projects for our General Services UK function which sits within our Corporate Business. You’ll be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle to ensure fleet projects are delivered on time, within budget and with safety at the forefront.

What you’ll be doing

As project manager you’ll establish a delivery strategy for each of your projects, providing technical oversight, governance and guidance to your team, to ensure each project is properly controlled and will be delivered successfully.

You’ll coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver projects which include software upgrades, fault and incident management and the rollout of fleet upgrades, amongst many more initiatives.

Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, measure project performance, ensure resource availability and allocation is fit for purpose, as well as manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

Produce metrics and reporting on performance and report and escalate areas of success and concern to senior management where appropriate.

What you’ll bring

  • Experienced project manager with qualifications in APC or APM desirable.
  • A background in Vehicle Fleets / Engineering would be advantageous.
  • Able to manage several concurrent projects simultaneously ensuring the optimum level of support and resource at all times.
  • Can effectively prioritise and execute tasks in high pressure environments.
  • Knowledge of change management processes
  • Experience of statutory approvals process and requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence and negotiate at all levels of stakeholders
  • Proven relationship management and team management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to ensure all project risks are known and understood by all.

Special Requirements

  • Flexibility to work out-with normal working hour regularly to deal with planned workload or in response to emergency plans/business continuity/disaster recovery.
  • Flexibility to work in locations out-with normal working location and sometimes internationally
